For first-year results as well, Medchal topped the charts with 77.31%, followed by Rangareddy and Jayashankar Bhupalapally with 76.38% and 73.04%, respectively. Khammam (72.06%) and Mulugu (71.31%) grabbed the rest of the two spots in the top five.
Venkya Naik, district Intermediate education officer (DIEO), said that Rangareddy has the highest number of students appearing for the Intermediate exams among all districts, with over 74,000 candidates. "Over the past year, the district has seen an increase of around 10,000 students. With more students appearing, the overall pass percentage has been impacted. We plan to increase study hours and conduct more regular preparatory exams to improve performance. We will also hold discussions to further enhance the results," he added.
